William (Bill) Coluccio is the President and Founder of Altium Insurance Services (AIS).

AIS was created as a highly specialized Property and Casualty and Surplus Lines Insurance Professional Services firm focused on customized insurance and risk mitigation products that serve the professional liability,life, property and casualty, and transaction insurance markets.

Bill brings a unique skill set and perspective to the Insurance industry. With over 25 years as an Investment Banker and M&A specialist on Wall Street, he successfully closed many complex merger, acquisition and divestiture transactions involving Fortune 500 companies, as well as middle market businesses.

This former experience as a seasoned dealmaker, combined with his expertise to navigate the many nuances of an M&A transaction, has enabled Bill to lead AIS to become a premier insurance product firm that designs, co-underwrites, and distributes customized protection products focused on the comprehensive risk reduction of investment vehicles and the mitigation of exposure in a transaction-based milieu.

The proprietary insurance products offered by AIS are underwritten through the Lloyds of London Marketplace and several US-based insurance carriers.  Clients who purchase AIS products include an impressive list of Private Equity Groups, Family Offices, Financial Institutions, and High Net Worth Individuals. 

Bill has been interviewed by multiple industry publications, served as a panel speaker for events that focus on innovation within the insurance industry, and has represented the interests of insurance carriers both domestic and abroad.

A Senior Executive with over forty years in the Insurance Industry, nineteen of them with Transamerica Life Companies, Mr. Baitler rose to the level of Chief Operations Officer for Transamerica Life Insurance and Annuity Company in 1978. He was responsible for the Group Life and Health Division and turned it around from operating at a loss to a profitable business that was sold to Provident Life and Accident. He then served in several senior management and board positions, lastly as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for the Transamerica Life Companies.

Mr. Baitler was responsible for a number of Transamerica Life Companies’ special ventures including: a mass marketing company, a broker dealership, a structured settlements operation and an insurance operation in New York. In addition, he was responsible for the Company’s Mergers and Acquisitions function and its Corporate Asset/Liability Management Division. During his management of the Merger and Acquisition function, Transamerica successfully divested itself of its group life and health insurance operations and its Australian subsidiary. When Mr. Baitler left Transamerica he was a member of the Executive Committee of the boards of all the Life Insurance Companies.

Prior to joining Altium Insurance Services, Mr. Baitler started a consulting firm where he acted as Strategic Advisor to National Insurance Carriers, guiding their Senior Executives in articulating a vision and a prioritized strategy to achieve that vision. He successfully assisted his clients in implementing the appropriate external elements of those strategies, which then led to significant mergers, acquisitions and divestiture opportunities, with a focus on alternative distribution organizations.

Mr. Baitler has served as an Operating Director of Arsenal Capital Partners as well as a board advisor to portfolio companies. Born in New York, Mr. Baitler received his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Union College in New York. He has been a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Jeff possesses both the skillset and informed perspectives to bring meaningful contributions to the Risk Management industry. He is an imaginative business partner who works passionately under the belief that Risk Management is a source of competitive advantage and a practical construct to support management decisions.

Jeff’s diverse risk management experience spans corporate, entrepreneurial, and academic environments to place him amongst the few practitioners who hold a technical understanding of the science, experience in complex insurance markets, and the nuanced perspective to grasp Risk Management as a strategy of quantifiable corporate value creation.

With over 10 years of industry experience, Jeff has been fortunate to work with a varied corporate client base on risk transfer programs, operational risk strategies, capital raises, and M&A. Licensed in all lines of marketable insurance, Jeff works closely with Lloyd’s of London and major carriers to develop new insurance programs in the marketplace.

Jeff formerly served as a Vice President for the global risk management firm, Marsh & McLennan. He holds a B.S. Finance from St. Joseph’s University and an M.S. in Enterprise Risk Management from Columbia University.

Michael Monteleone is Vice President of Operations for Altium Insurance Services.  As head of operations, Michael and his staff are responsible for customer service, administration, insurance policy quotation and fulfillment, and field underwriting.

In addition to his day to day responsibilities, Michael is an integral part of Altium’s marketing efforts.  His industry expertise has enabled him to develop unique sales and marketing strategies, as well as distribution channels, that have enabled Altium to expand its product and service offering to clients across the United States.

Early in his tenure at Altium, Michael has fulfilled various positions across Altium’s operating divisions and has participated in such disciplines as product research and development, risk assessment, loss ratio analysis, underwriting, and transaction negotiation.

Michael handles a large portion of Altium’s sales and customer relations as well.  He is also the point of contact for all of Altium Insurance Services’ Insurance Carriers and P&C Broker Network.

Michael is a licensed property and casualty producer, and also a surplus lines producer.  He holds a Bachelors Degree in Journalism from Penn State University.
